Terms of Use

Welcome to Wewo, a lyrics presentation and worship display service operated by Holhjem Development AS (“Wewo”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Wewo applications, website, desktop software, future mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Service

Wewo is a platform that allows users to:

• create and manage song and lyrics databases;
• display lyrics and media on one or more screens or projectors;
• synchronize presentations between devices over the internet;
• use offline-first presentation features with optional cloud sync.

The Service is primarily intended for churches, ministries, worship teams, and similar organizations, but may also be used by individuals.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you are legally permitted to use online services under applicable law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, licenses, and regulations.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using an email address and password.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
• all activity performed through your account;
• ensuring that your account information is accurate and updated.

You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used unlawfully or abusively.

4. User Content and Copyright

You retain ownership of the lyrics, media, and other content you upload to the Service (“User Content”).

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, licenses, permissions, or legal basis to upload, store, display, synchronize, or use User Content through Wewo.

This includes responsibility for:

• copyrighted song lyrics;
• worship music licensing;
• media files;
• presentation materials.

Wewo does not provide licensed song lyrics or copyrighted music content.

Many churches and ministries operate under blanket or collective worship licenses from organizations such as CCLI or equivalent licensing bodies. You are responsible for ensuring that your organization maintains any required licenses.

You may not use the Service to:

• infringe copyrights or intellectual property rights;
• distribute unauthorized copyrighted material;
• upload unlawful or abusive material;
• share malicious or harmful content.

By uploading content, you grant Wewo a limited license to host, store, process, synchronize, and transmit the content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

5. Private Content

Song databases and uploaded content are private by default and are intended only for your personal or organizational use.

Wewo does not currently provide public sharing features for song databases.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service;
• bypass security or authentication measures;
• attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
• misuse synchronization or streaming functionality;
• upload malware or harmful code;
• use the Service for illegal activities.

We may remove content or suspend accounts at our sole discretion where necessary to:

• comply with legal obligations;
• protect users or systems;
• investigate abuse;
• enforce these Terms.

7. Offline and Synchronization Features

Wewo is designed as an offline-first application.

Some features may synchronize content between devices using cloud infrastructure hosted within the EU/EEA.

Deleted content may temporarily remain cached on offline or disconnected devices until synchronization occurs.

8. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee:

• uninterrupted availability;
• error-free operation;
• permanent availability of features;
• compatibility with all hardware, operating systems, projectors, streaming devices, or third-party platforms.

Features may change, be modified, or discontinued at any time.

9. Future Paid Features and Donations

Wewo is currently free to use.

We may introduce:

• optional paid features;
• subscriptions;
• donations;
• premium organizational tools;
• additional storage or synchronization services.

Pricing and billing terms, if introduced, will be communicated separately.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party providers, including:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Google Analytics

Your use of certain third-party integrations or platforms may also be subject to their terms.

Future mobile applications distributed through app stores may additionally be subject to:

• Apple App Store Terms
• Google Play Terms

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Holhjem Development AS shall not be liable for:

• indirect or consequential damages;
• lost profits or revenue;
• lost data;
• business interruption;
• loss of worship materials or presentations;
• unauthorized access to content;
• hardware or streaming compatibility issues.

Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Our total liability arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us during the previous 12 months, or EUR 100 if no payment was made.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Holhjem Development AS from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:

• your use of the Service;
• your uploaded content;
• copyright or licensing violations;
• violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion if:

• these Terms are violated;
• misuse or abuse is detected;
• required by law;
• necessary to protect the Service or other users.

14. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy below.

15.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes may be communicated through the Service, website, or email.

Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts.
